Contained in a clear A4 Sheet Protector, and with a sticker stating “Circa 1989   No ID   Chermside Training School with Old Huts”

ITEM 9277 is a series of 14 colour photographs, all 148mm x 101mm, showing the Chermside Training School including the then ‘New’ buildings that were constructed c.1965 and extended c.1975, and the old training huts, which were demolished in 1989. The date isn’t shown, but could have been sometime during the 1980’s.  There is no information on the back of the prints, and no Negative information.

There is no information on the “Visit”, with no date, names, or the reason for the visit.

The demolition of the Old Huts was necessary to provide the space for the ‘New’ Training School building, for which the construction started in 1990, and completed in December 1990.  The new building cost $15 million and was officially opened 2 July 1991.
