Item 9252

Item 9252 is a photo album labeled “CI 1 Brisbane” consisting of a collection of 112 colour photographs on 37 pages.

The album is a blue vinyl covered ring binder of magnetic self-adhesive 40 pages with transparent film covering each photograph.

The photographs were scanned “as is” on each page, as the attempted removal of several photos appeared to be causing damage to each photograph.

There are 73 photographs showing a selection of Country Install No.1 (CI 1) Brisbane Staff Recreation at the 1982 XMAS Party in Captain Burke Park, under the Brisbane Story Bridge, and 39 photographs of “The Bay Bail Out” which was the last party of CI 1 on the 18^th November 1984 held on a boat cruise out on Moreton Bay.

NOTE: Country Install No.1 (CI 1) was disbanded at the end of 1984, and merged into the Telecom Construction Division, which later became known Network Construction Division (NDC) in the 1990’s. In 1984/85 there was major changes through Telecom, occurring at the time of massive technology changes to provide automatic dialing telephones to all Australians.
