Item 9254

Item 9254 is a photo album labeled “PT’s and CABINETS” consisting of a collection of 27 colour and 63 black and white photographs.

The album consists of 10 pages with transparent film covering each photograph.

The photographs show a selection public telephone cabinets, some at the workshops, some at various installed locations, and of staff and the machinery installing various cabinets. There are some assorted photographs of cable drums and external plant, and several photographs of installing street letter boxes.

Each photograph is labeled with any information seen written or stamped on the rear, including a negative number and date.

The negative number starts with “Q” for Queensland PMG Photographic Section, or “QT” for Queensland Telecom Photographic Section.

Some photographs are stamped with “QLD Engineering Branch” without a negative number, and 2 photographs are stamped with S10640, a South Australia Engineering Branch number.

NOTE: While scanning each photograph, 8 of the pages broke away from the binding.
