A Treatise on Electricity Vol 2
About this Collection
This is volume 2 of a collection of 3 books or treatises that were published in the 1850s after being translated from French by V. A. Walker who was instrumental in the development of telegraph timing systems used in England. Charles Todd was a work companion at the time before leaving England for Australia.
It would be interesting to note that even though the science was detailed the actual uses of the effects the early experimenters saw were interesting but their uses were unknown.
In one of the books there are 20 or so pages written about the voltages generated by dissimilar metals and temperature… the modern day thermostat!!
I have tried ascertaining whether Charles Todd or for that matter Thomas Edison had these volumes in their libraries.
