This collection has a number of artifacts outlining the process of providing Telephone services in the 20’s to country regions and the communications required to create an Exchange area.
The documents also show the dedication of some of the manual telephone exchange operators to go beyond their normal working hours and providing a high level of service.
The Newman’s operated the telephone exchange for 50 or so years.
